Exchange items locally
Komu is a local item-exchange marketplace where neighbours give and take secondhand things using points instead of money — list what you no longer need, earn points, and claim items nearby without any cash changing hands.
Points-based · No seller fees · Local pickup
Your unused stuff deserves better than a cluttered drawer
You have things you no longer use — good things. But selling them is a chore: lowball offers, endless haggling, payment apps that skim a cut, and shipping labels for an item that should never leave your neighbourhood.
So it all sits in a drawer. The value is real, but unlocking it feels like more work than it's worth.
Exchange, don't sell
Komu turns your unused items into points. List something, and a neighbour can claim it with points they earned the same way. No cash, no fees, no strangers driving across the city.
Points move through a simple wallet, held safely until both sides confirm the handover. You give what you don't need and take what you do.

Questions, answered
What is Komu?
Komu is a local marketplace for exchanging secondhand items using points instead of money. You list things you no longer need, earn points, and use them to claim items from people nearby.
How do points work?
Each item has a points value. When someone claims your item, their points are held until you both confirm the handover, then they move to your wallet. You spend those points on other items.
Does Komu cost money?
No. Komu is free to use and takes no seller fees. There is no real currency involved — the whole system runs on points, so there's nothing to pay.
Can I turn points into real cash?
No. Points exist only to exchange items inside Komu and can't be withdrawn as money. If you want a cash payout, a traditional selling app is the better fit.
I'm new — how do I get my first item?
Every new member starts with 150 points, enough to claim your first item right away. List something of your own to top your points back up.
Is it safe to exchange with strangers?
Points are held in escrow and only released when both people confirm the handover. Exchanges are local and in person, so you meet on familiar ground.
Where and in which languages does Komu work?
Komu is local by design and works wherever its community is active. The whole app is available in both English and Polish.
